William L. Darr

William L. "Bill" Darr, 80, of Port Clinton, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born July 17, 1929 in Port Clinton, the son of Charles L. and Edith (St Marie) Darr. He married Catherine Dunn on Feb. 3, 1962 and she survives. Bill was a lifelong farmer and he worked for Ohler and Holzhauer for many years. He was a Bay Township Trustee for 20 years and he enjoyed bowling and hunting. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Port Clinton Elks Lodge No. 1718. Surviving are his wife Catherine; sons: Tony (Ann) Darr of Monroeville, Paul Darr of Port Clinton, Michael (Dana) Darr of Columbus; daughters: Kelly Warner of Port Clinton, Becky (Jim) Kurtz of Oak Harbor, Theresa (Al) Koepplinger of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Kyle Dukeshire, Alex and Emileigh Darr, James, Eric and Jeremy Kurtz, Menolly and Max Darr, Nathan and Ariel Koepplinger. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Rosemary Wysin. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 9:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton and Wednesday from 9:00 9:30 am at the funeral home. Prayer services will begin Wednesday at 9:30 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Immaculate Catholic Church or The Alzheimer's Association.
