William L. "Bill" Dailey Jr., 71 of Elmore, OH died unexpectedly Friday, August 5, 2016 in Elmore. He was born February 16, 1945 in Toledo, OH to the late William L. and Betty Mae (Henzler) Dailey. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era serving on the USS Enterprise which involved the first nuclear task force to travel around the world. On November 21, 1992 he married the former Sharon (DeShetler) Morris and she survives. Bill was a retired truck driver and a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore. He enjoyed volunteering for the Ottawa County Wildlife Refuge, fishing, watching birds, monitoring eagles (which he got to hold a baby eagle), golfing and putzing around in his garden. Survivors include his wife Sharon of Elmore; children: Lisa Pauley of Bowling Green, OH, Duane (Erica) Dailey of Genoa, OH, Deana Toney of Tontogany, OH; step- children: Paul (Ellen) Morris of Northwood, OH and Michael (Jennifer) Morris of Northwood, OH; grandchildren: Megan (Guy) Pealer, Kyle Pauley, Trevor Toney. Lance Morris, Johnathan Morris, Joey Morris and Julia Vasko; great- grandchildren: Madison Mae Dailey and Mason Victor Pealer. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore- Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. SR 51, Elmore, OH 43416. Services will begin at 11am Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Elmore. Memorial Contributions may be made to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church or Luther Home of Mercy.
