William G. "Bill" Graybill

May 10, 1940 — February 15, 2015

William G. "Bill" Graybill, 74, of Catawba Island, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on May 10, 1940 in Rochester, Michigan, the son of the late Glenn and Dorothy (Gladstone) Graybill. Bill graduated from Rochester High School, Class of 1958. On October 5, 1968 he married Susan L. Nelder and she survives. Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a self employed electrician, owning and operating Bill's Electrical Service, retiring in 2006. After retirement, he worked at the Catawba Island Club in the maintenance department. He was a member of the American Legion in Port Clinton. Bill had a dry sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories as he was known as a world class storyteller. His family states: "Know that you will be the newest sarcastic angel in Heaven". He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife: Sue; sons: Scott (Suzanna) Graybill, Sandusky, Ohio; Eric (Theresa) Graybill, Huron, Ohio; and Adam (Megan) Graybill, Hudson, Ohio; seven grandchildren; sister: Susan Harp, Springville, Alabama; brother: David (Kathy) Graybill, Sand Point, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Glenda "Snooks" Murray. Per Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 1pm until memorial services at 3pm, with Reverend Casey Cain officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Catawba Island Fire and EMS.
