William E. Sorg

William E. Sorg, 84 of Oak Harbor, OH died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his home. He was born September 13, 1930 in Oak Harbor to the late H.A. and Florence (Leaser) Sorg. He was a graduate of Oak Harbor High School. On September 23, 1951 he married the former Joanne M. Beshalske who preceded him in death February 13, 2009. Bill and his brother Lynn were self employed as masons until Lynn's death in 1977. He then joined the Bricklayers Union from which he retired in 1992. He was also a farmer and liked to refinish furniture. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor. Survivors include his daughters Susan Sorg of Cleveland, OH and Janice Cunningham of Oak Harbor; a sister Joanne Sandwisch, nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his son, Michael; brothers, Donald, Wendell, David and Lynn Sorg; and sister Mary Phillips. Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor is assisting the family. At this time, there will be no immediate services or visitation. Interment will be in Salem Township.
