Virginia P. Mccafferty

Virginia P. McCafferty, 86, of Port Clinton and formerly of Columbus, OH died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. She was born Nov. 21, 1927 in Columbus, the daughter of Robin and Bernice (Clemens) Pulling. She was married to Paul H. McCafferty for 32 years and he preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 2007. Virginia helded organize the beginning of the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation in 1954. She served as treasurer for two years and President. She lost a daughter to C F in 1961. She also served as an officer for the Eagles Aux. in Port Clinton for ten years. Surviving are her son: Edward (Joanna) West of Port Clinton; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and sister Emily Waugh of Columbus, Ohio. she was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Debra West.
