Vera B. Stoner, 86, of Woodville, Ohio died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born in Elmore, Ohio to Ernst and Viola (Haar) Behring on September 13, 1924. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore, and a graduate of the former Harris-Elmore High School, Elmore. She wed Donald Stoner of Fremont, Ohio who preceded her in death. Vera was retired from Elmore Medical Associates. She was a devoted Buckeye fan and enjoyed collecting clown memorabilia. She spent a great deal of time in the company of many kind and caring friends. She is preceded in death by her infant twin sister, parents, husband, and brother, Gilbert Behring. Vera is survived by her children, Dr. Brady B. (Susan) Stoner, Cambridge, Ohio, Wendy Kay Stoner (Thomas) Stookey, Tampa, Florida, and Courtney B. (Rhonda) Stoner, Woodville, Ohio; five grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. The family will honor Vera's requests by having a private memorial officiated by Rev. David Nevergall at a future date. The family expresses thanks to Stein Hospice for their support during the last few months. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore.
