Vembia E. Stepanian

February 22, 1934 — December 31, 2014

Vembia E. Stepanian, 80, formerly of Lakeside-Marblehead, passed away at Autumn Care Center, Newark, Ohio, December 31st after a well-fought battle with multiple sclerosis. Vembia enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, walking and was a member of TOPS for over 20 years. Survivors include her children, Wanda Swope of Toledo, Pamela (Michael) Provo of Port Clinton, Greg (Bonnie) Stepanian of Westerville, Darlene (John) Bowser of Port Clinton and Michelle (Mark) McGraw of Marblehead; nine grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Trudy Winkler of Rockville, Maryland and Charles Shipp of Culpepper, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sally (Presgraves) Shipp, her husband of 53 years, Charles, a daughter, Cheryl, in infancy and a sister, Alma Malcolm. Private graveside services will be observed at Sackett Cemetery in Marblehead. Memorial service arrangements are pending. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Tridia Hospice, 2215 Citygate Dr., Ste. E, Columbus, OH 43219 or to the Erie County Community Foundation, 135 E. Washington Row, Sandusky, OH 44870.
