Ursula "Jane" Nowak, of Elmore, OH, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on May 21, 2016. She was 84 years old. Jane is survived by her husband, Loren Nowak; children, Marie (Bob) Babjack of Elmore, Tom (Terri) Nowak of Elmore, Joyce (Bruce) Moore of Toledo, and Laura (Ken) Hazel of Elmore; her eighteen grandchildren: John (Andrea) Babjack, Michelle (Isaac) Moreno, David Babjack, Mark Babjack, Kristen Babjack; Dan (Lisa) Nowak, Tim (Tara) Nowak, Joe (Sara) Nowak, Sam (Brittney) Nowak; Bill (Carla) Murray, Amanda (Chris Mitchell) Cobacango, Angela Murray, Alex Murray; Stephanie (Buddy) Perkins, Katie (Ryan) Buckner, Jake Hazel, Sydney Hazel, and Joshua Hazel; her 23 great-grandchildren: Matthew Ben Gabe Natalie, Jake, Parker Jaden, Oliver Maddison & Kennedi; Andrew Jade, James, Samantha Collin her sister, Georgia Pertner of Gibsonburg; and her long-time friend, Alice Wax of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her infant granddaughter; her eight sisters, three brothers; and her parents. Jane was born on March 1, 1932 in Gibsonburg, OH, to Leo and Eda (Bauer) Foos. She married Loren Nowak on June 7, 1952. They enjoyed 64 married years together, where she was a devoted wife and mother. Her family remembers her as a loving, caring, and patient mother/grandmother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Later, Jane worked at Pills-N-Packages in Elmore for 16 years, during which time she was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2002. She was a woman of faith, drawing her strength from God, and always reminding her children to "pray about it". She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, traveling, crocheting, gardening, bowling, square dancing, reading, instant lottery tickets and winning at the slot machines. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore- Genoa Chapel located at 19550 W. State Route 51, Elmore, OH. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Bethel United Brethren Church, Elmore, with the family to receive friends beginning at 10am and a luncheon to follow. Pastor Tim Sherman will officiate the ceremony. Interment at Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jane's life.
