Thomas Wright

Thomas Wright, 71, of Port Clinton, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at his residence. He was born November 16, 1939 in Waynesboro, MS the son of Cleo and Melinda (Patton) Wright. He married Linda Duncan on June 27, 1992 and she survives. He worked for Ford Motor Co in Lorain retiring in 1998. He was a member of Rebirth Community Church, Local Union #425 and he loved working on cars and reselling them and fishing and traveling. Surviving are his wife: Linda; sons: Anthony W. Wright of Sandusky, Eugene (Wanda) Harris of Hattiesburg, MS, Charles Wright of Minneapolis, MN, Thomas S. Wright of Sandusky, Thomas N. Wright of Sandusky, Kelvin (Michelle) Lindsey of Columbus, OH, Wilbur (Betty) Lindsey of Lorain, OH, Hilman (Myrdis) Lindsey of Cleveland, OH; daughters: Carolyn Wright of Tampa, FL, Laquaita Wright of Sandusky, OH, Coneda L. (Jeffrey) Baker of Fremont, Beverly (Willie) Roberts of Sandusky; brothers: Johnnie E. McSwain of Tampa, FL, Napoleon “Punch” Jackson of Richmond, VA; sisters: Peggy H. Grant of Sandusky, Annabelle Britton of Hattiesburg, MS; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father: Cleo Wright; mother: Melinda McElroy; step-mother Lucile Wright; son: Robert Lindsey; daughter: Alisha Duncan; brothers: Cleo Wright, Jr, Robert Wright, Francis McKennis and sister: Ruth Wright. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2011 at Grace United Church, Port Clinton where visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
