Terry R. Millinger

Terry R. Millinger, 70 of Oregon, OH and formerly of Elmore, OH died Monday, January 19, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born in Port Clinton, OH the son of the late Robert and Eileen (Barnes) Millinger. He was a 1962 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Bowling Green State University. On June 21, 1974 he married the former Susan Witty and she survives. Mr. Millinger retired in 1997 from the Genoa Area Schools where he taught 5th grade. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore. He also held memberships with the Phoenix Lodge #123 F. & A.M. in Perrysburg, Zenobia Shrine, Ottawa County Shrine Club, Moose Lodge 1610 in Port Clinton, was a past Patron of Elmore Order of the Eastern Star and currently a member of the Perrysburg O.E.S. In college he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity which he still kept involved with. He loved traveling and hosting foreign exchange students which he and Susan did 3 times. Following his retirement he volunteered his time at St. Charles Hospital. But through all this, he was happiest telling jokes. Survivors include his wife of 40 years Susan of Oregon, OH and a son Paul Millinger of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sheri Millinger. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Saturday, January 24, 2015 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore.
