Ruth J. Flick

Ruth Jeanette (Rogers) Flick, 93, of Graytown, OH died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Genoa Care Center. She was born November 10, 1916 in Columbus, OH to the late Jesse and Mina (Hawkins) Rogers. Ruth was a 1941 graduate of The Ohio State University. She married Wesley E. Flick who preceded her in death February 16, 2010. She was a Registered Nurse for the Toledo District Nurse Association and Luther Home of Mercy. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Elliston, OH. Ruth and Wesley were selected by Governor Rhodes as Mother and Father of the Year for the Northwest Ohio Development Center, where they were child advocates. Survivors include her sons: Merrell A. Flick, Charles (Kathy) Flick; daughters Dorothy (Joe) Luthman, Karla (Jim) Miller; grandchildren: Paul Luthman, Michelle (Chad) Goins, and Lisa Miller. She was also preceded in death by her sister Mary Alice Bryant; brother Clyde Rogers; and grandson John H. Luthman. Visitation will be Monday from 5-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11am at the Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lawrence Kessler officiating. Burial will be in Elliston Cemetery, Benton Township.
