Ruby Irene Travillian

Ruby I. Travillian, 90, of Port Clinton, Ohio died peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on October 20, 1924 in Louellen Kentucky, the daughter of the late Matt and Iva (Murphy) Travillian. Ruby worked in the Housekeeping department at Cedar Point until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of Faith Family Worship Center in Port Clinton. She loved to read, especially recipes, and baking. She enjoyed doing crafts, quilting, and crocheting. She often watched Christian programs and enjoyed going to church camp with her good friend, Ruth Rister. In her latter years when she couldn't get out to go shopping, she enjoyed watching QVC. She also loved to fish. Survivors include her son: Damon (Gail) Carroll, Castalia, Ohio; daughters: Priscilla (Charles) Elswick, Sandusky, Ohio and Becky Harris, Port Clinton; grandchildren: David (Vicki) Elswick, John (Beth Ann) Prentice; Christie (Henry) Sewell, Kim Filipiak, Diane (Mark) Stroh, Paula (Jamie) Grider, James Carroll and Derek Carroll; fifteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; sisters: Colleen (Gene) Bundy, Dayton, Ohio and Ruth Taylor, Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers: Frank Travillian, Ohio and David Travillian, Kentucky; and dearest friends: Jessie and Ruth Rister. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law: Frank Harris, and brothers: Charles, Grover, Ansel and Ralph Travillian. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 8am until funeral services at 9:30am at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio, with Pastor Jimmy Comstock officiating.
