Roy "Jim" Whitlock

Roy "Jim" Whitlock, 83, of Oak Harbor and formerly of Port Clinton, died on Friday, March 27, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born on April 26, 1931 in Toledo, he was the son of Roy A. Whitlock and Una (McDaniel) Blitski. Jim married the former Wilma Stuckey on March 1, 1950 in Greenup, KY. They were blessed to enjoy 65 years together. He retired from driving semi-truck after 31 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he was a very proud and loving husband, dad, grandfather and papa. He always had a story to share and never met a stranger. Jim is survived by his wife Wilma; their 4 children, Diana (Mike) Owen, Fort Myers, FL, Terry (late Gary) Karr, Oak Harbor, OH, Ken (Deb) Whitlock, Maricopa, AZ and Sue (Phil) Kaiser, Phoenix, AZ; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Ray (Barb) Whitlock; sisters Kay (Harold) Pile and Marsha (Dennis Nicholson) Blitski; as well as a large extended family. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Una; siblings Robert Whitlock, Mary Rabuck and Betty Halstead and son-in-law Gary Karr. The Whitlock Family wishes to thank Chuck and Cheryl Devore for their support. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Oak Harbor Chapel. Services will begin at 11am Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. David A. Voll officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to Mid-County EMS.
