Ronald James Kopchak, 54, of Greensboro, NC and formerly of Marblehead, OH died Feb. 19, 2015 in Greensboro, NC. He was born Jan. 20, 1961 in Sandusky, OH the son of Andrew and Inez (Chura) Kopchak. He was a 1979 graduate of Danbury High School and he attended Devry Institute of Technology. After receiving his technician Diploma he moved to Greensboro, NC and worked for General Dynamics installing wiring and testing electronic underwater sound surveillance processing equipment. In 2000 he started working for Sentry Watch, Inc. as an alarm Installer/Technician. In 2014 he starting working as a technician for Sonitrol in Greensboro, NC. He enjoyed boating, bowling, ice skating and hockey. He always enjoyed working on anything electrical or electronic. Surviving are his sister: Kathleen Kopchak of Port Clinton; brother: Allen Kopchak of Port Clinton; sister-in-law: Jo Kopchak of Port Clinton; nephews: Karl Kopchak, Drew Kopchak both of Port Clinton; aunts: Grace Kopchak and Eleanor Chura both of Marblehead, OH; neighbor: Pat Williamson of Pleasant Garden, NC and special friend Nance Gillett of Pleasant Garden, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: David Kopchak. Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 from 12:00 2:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. LakesideMarblehead, OH where Panachida Prayer Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm with Father Robert Kelley celebrating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Church Cemetery, Marblehead, OH at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or your favorite charity.
