Ronald A Leffler

Ronald A. Leffler, 72 of Lakeside and Marion, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday, September 25, 2020 at his “happy place”. Many memories were made and will continue to be made due to his hard work in restoring and preserving The Carriage House. He was born September 22, 1948 in Marion, Ohio, the son of George and Virginia (Bailey) Leffler, who preceded him in death. He married Stephanie Robinson on October 15, 1972. Ron was an Outside Plant Engineer for GTE (Marion) and then of TW Telecom (Columbus). Ron was an avid lover of his family, numerous pets, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and of course Lakeside. He was involved with Lakeside in many ways. The Lakeside Heritage Society, Historic Preservation & Design Review Board Lakeside, Ohio, and was a shuttle driver for Lakeside for many Chautauqua seasons. He will be missed, but never forgotten by: his wife Stephanie; daughter: Lisa (Lonnie) West of Marion, Ohio; son: Donald (Julia) Leffler of Radnor, Ohio; grandchildren: Lauren, Nolen, Avery, and Hank West, Megan and Jake Ambrose; sisters: Brenda Murray and Elaine Leffler both of Marion, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Chapel in the Woods, Lakeside, Ohio, Pastor Ron McCauley will be officiating. Interment will be held in Marion Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Lakeside Heritage Society, 324 W. Third St. Lakeside, OH 43440.
