Rita J. Gilleland

Rita J. Gilleland, 64, of Port Clinton, OH died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at her residence. She was born May 5, 1943 in Port Clinton, the daughter of Harold and Lyllian (Schutte) Casperson. She married James U. Gilleland on April 4, 1964 and he survives. Mrs. Gilleland was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was active in the Sarah Circle and the Thursday night prayer group. Surviving are her husband James; sons: Harold “Mac”, James A. (Connie) and Steven A. (Lisa) all of Port Clinton; daughter: Cynthia (Scott Emch) of Perrysburg; grandchildren: Joshua, Cyril, Tony, Joseph, Tabitha, Brittney, Ryan, Cody, Chris, Will, Corey, Allison, Leslee, Benjiman, Andrew; mother: Lyllian Casperson of Port Clinton; brother: James (Lana) Casperson of Port Clinton; sister: Janet Wright of Monroeville and brother-in-law Robert A. Gilleland of Middleburg Heights, OH. She was preceded in death by her father: Harold, grandson: David and sister: Shirley Casperson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, July 9, 2007 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton where the body will lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
