Rita J. Faust

Rita J. Faust, 59, of Port Clinton, died Tuesday March 14, 2006 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. She was born November 18, 1946 in Port Clinton, the daughter of August and Margaret (Kokinda) Burr, Jr. Rita was born and raised in Port Clinton and after her marriage to her husband Mark on April 1, 1967, she accompanied him across the nation, to the Far East and Europe during his air force career. They returned to the area with their family in 1988 and lived in Sandusky until returning to Port Clinton last August. She had a life long career in banking and has been with Key Bank in Sandusky for the last 17 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton. Surviving are her husband, Mark; daughter Angela (Jon) Routh of Sandusky; sons Jason (Michelle) of Port Clinton and Matthew of Austin, TX; grandchildren Avery Faust, Jason W. Faust, Sadie Ahlers and Bradyn Routh; and sisters Joan Houser of Delaware and Carol Grodi of N. Ridgeville. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Neidecker, LeVeck and Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 414 Madison Street where her body will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Association or the Stein Hospice.
