Rebecca Miller Jones

     Rebecca Miller Jones, 79, of Crawfordville, Florida, and formerly of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 in at Eden Springs Nursing & Rehab Center, Crawfordville, under the care of Hospice., She was born in Oak Harbor on March 6, 1946, the daughter of John M. & Carolyn R. (Kenneman) Miller.

     A graduate of Salem-Oak Harbor High School, Becky was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, where her mother was organist and choir director for many years. Becky was also musically inclined, and became an accomplished bassoonist. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Education, she taught for several years and was a librarian at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida. A lifelong advocate for and lover of animals of all kinds, Becky greatly enjoyed the peace and solitude of her Florida country home.

     Becky was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, John H. Miller. She is survived by several cousins and extended family.

     Per her wishes, private graveside services will be held at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor where she will be interred with her parents and brother.
