Raquel M. (Rodriguez-Cantu) Massie, 70, of Port Clinton died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was born April 20, 1946 in Alamo, TX the daughter of Manuel and Maria Flavia (Cavazos) Rodriguez, Sr. She married Eduardo Cantu, Sr. on Jan 3, 1966 and she later married Mahlon Massie on June 23, 2005 and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2006. Raquel worked in retail management for Mr. Wiggs, Hecks, L A Joe and Fashion Bug retiring in 2006. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. She enjoyed playing bingo, quilting and shopping. Surviving are her sons: Paulino (Bobbie Jo) Cantu of Farmington, MO, Eduardo (Amy) Cantu, Jr. of Oak Harbor, Adrian (Debby) Cantu of Port Clinton; daughters: Danielle (Brian Johnson) Cantu of Port Clinton, Francisca (Charles) Derivan of Port Clinton; special daughter-in-law: Aimee Slater of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Justin, Britnee, Kaylin, Josie, Anaya, Ian, Kayla, Ethan, Emma, Jordan, Cael, Abigail, Conner, and William; great-grandchildren: Artevius, Li'sah, Carson, Rylynn and Levi; ex-husband: Eduardo Cantu, Sr. of Port Clinton; brothers: Leonardo (Trish) Rodriguez of Texas, Juan Rodriguez of Texas; sisters: Martina (Gary) Jones of Texas, Eliamar (Bob) Meeks of North Dakota; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins across the country. She was preceded in death by her husband: Mahlon Massie; brothers: Manuel Rodriguez, Jr., Roberto Rodriguez; sisters: Irma Howell and Ester Rahm. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. The Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 7:30pm Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father John Missler 10:00 am Friday, August 12, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
