Pauline Nagy

Pauline "Polly" Nagy, 68, of Put in Bay, died Sunday June 6, 2010 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. She was born January 3, 1942 in Lakewood, the daughter of the late Cecil & Margaret (Terrell) Scott. Polly obtained her AAS from Lorain Community College and her BSN from the Medical College of Ohio through the BGSU Firelands Campus. She was employed at Elyria Hospital, Cleveland Metro, St. John's Westshore and taught nursing at Lorain Community College. She retired from the Passport visiting nurses in Cleveland. Polly was a very active member of the Pub in Bay Yacht Club, the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church and the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Melbourne, Florida. On August 19, 1961, she married Stephen R. Nagy, Sr. and he survives along with her daughter Molly (Jay) Brown of Medina; sons Steve (Carol), Jr. of Elyria and Scott (Kathy) of Avon; grandchildren Randy and Kelsey Brown and Zachary, Gregory and Danielle Nagy; sister Judy Donahue and brothers Patrick, Michael and Timothy Scott. There will be no visitation at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 am Monday June 14, at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Put in Bay, followed by burial in Mapleleaf Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church or the Put in Bay Yacht Club Building Fund. Transportation will be available once you arrive on the island beginning with the 9:00 AM ferry. Either a tour train or bus will be available once you exit the ferry to transport you from the ferry dock to the church and cemetery for services.
