Nancy J. Thompson

Nancy J. Thompson, 73, of Fremont, OH, and formerly of Oak Harbor, OH, died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Promedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont, under the care of Promedica Hospice. She was born in southern Ohio on September 1, 1941, the daughter of Kenneth & Ida (Kepp) Garner. Nancy was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and was a graduate of the Sandusky School of Nursing. She was a nurse in the Emergency Department of Fremont Memorial Hospital, Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, and Sandusky County Home Health. Nancy collected lighthouses and angels, and enjoyed being a member of the Red Hats. On March 31, 1978, she married Dennis L. Thompson, and he survives. Also surviving are her children, Rhonda K. (Fowler) Snodgrass and Rodney V. (Robin) Fowler; step-children, Jennifer (Eric) Henderson and Jay Thompson; grandchildren, Alysia N. (Adam Abdoo) Snodgrass, Andra B. Snodgrass, Alec J. Snodgrass, Sarah (Paul) Wolf, Rory M. Fowler, Jolene M. Fowler, Daniel (Krystal) Fowler, and Shelia (Jose) Orozco. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Rory Fowler; brother, Vernon Garner, and a granddaughter, Amanda K. Snodgrass. Friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Wednesday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, where the family will be present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Kyle J. Timmons officiating. Interment will follow in Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor or Promedica Hospice, Fremont.
