Nancy A. Adams, 80, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on March 23, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of the late Donald and Hilda (Knack) Hurd. She married Vincent S. Adams on October 16, 1954 and he survives. She began working as a teletype operator at Sears while raising her family. After her children were raised, she took on summer jobs working for the former Richmond Galleries and also as a volunteer at the Marblehead Lighthouse. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was involved in the WELCA, and the women's circle of the church. She spent countless hours volunteering at the chicken dinners and peach festival at the church. She was a member of the Marblehead VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and past member of the Peninsula CCL. She was a former Girl Scout Leader. She was an excellent baker and cook with her specialty being her mouth watering halupki which she learned how to make from her mother-in-law, Mary Adams. She was an avid sports fan, always attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and activities. One of her favorite pastimes was knitting, as she made a baby blanket for all of her grandchildren. Family was very important to her, and she enjoyed always being together. Survivors include her husband: Vince; children: Kimberly "Kimmer" (Steve) Watts, St. Augustine, Florida; Timothy "Pugs" (Jodi) Adams, Marblehead; Lori (Mike, late) Fletcher, Marblehead; Amy Adams, Marblehead; grandchildren: Hillary Newman, Beckie (fiance', Robert Contreras) Adams, Timothy Adams, Jr., Lee Fletcher, J.V. (Halsey) Fletcher, and Taylor Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son: Jeff Adams. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio, where members of the Marblehead VFW Ladies Auxiliary will conduct services at 6:00pm. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 9:30am until Funeral Services at 10:30am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 541 S. Church Road, Danbury, with Pastor Christina L. Young officiating. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Danbury or to the Donor's Choice.
