Mildred M. “Millie” Stryker, 65, of Catawba Island and formerly of North Ridgeville, OH, died Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH. She was born April 5, 1942 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of Henry & Catherine (Hildebrandt) Swan. She married Allen Stryker on Dec. 17, 1971 and he survives. Mrs. Stryker was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, boating and going to garage sales. Surviving is her husband, Allen; daughter, Candice Stryker of Catawba Island; grandchildren, Matthew Garver of New Mexico, Timothy Garver of New Mexico; mother, Catherine Swan of Cleveland; brother: Henry Bruce Swan of Lakewood, OH; sisters, Dollie Carver-Smith of Lorain, and Christine Slater of Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her father and her son, Daniel Garver. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Wednesday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or Catawba Island Fire Department.
