Melinda K. Butterfield

Melinda K. Butterfield, 69, of Port Clinton, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at her residence. She was born Oct. 23, 1940 in Danville, IL the daughter of Joseph E. and Florence A. (Mills) Watt. She married Robert Butterfield on Jan 15, 1981 and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2005. Mrs. Butterfield was a supporter of Defenders of Wildlife, ASPCA, Save the Mustangs and Back to the Wild. Surviving are her daughters: Angela D. Belcher of Port Clinton, Sarah E. (Jason) Palmer of Sandusky, Jennifer Laine of Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Amanda (Justin Johnson) Thoren, Danielle Thoren, Logan Palmer, Joseph Palmer; great-grandchild Dominic Lee Johnson; brother Richard Mills of Atlanta, GA; sister: Donna KEster of Shenendoah, VA and loving and loyal dog Cinni. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; daughters: Amilynn Barman and Jill R. Hayes. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor's choice.
