Matthew David Patrick, 25, of Texas and formerly of Port Clinton, died Thursday May 20, 2010 at his parents' residence in Port Clinton. He was born June 6, 1984 in Fremont, the son of Noel and Mary Frances (Allen) Patrick. Matthew was a graduate of Port Clinton High School and enlisted in the US Navy. He was an engineman aboard a mine hunter. Matt was a science buff and had a love of video games-if they made it, he had it. On July 12, 2008, Matt married Alicia (Cook) and she survives along with their daughter Melissa Nicole; his parents Noel and Mary Patrick of Port Clinton; brothers Nathan (Capri) serving in the US Navy, Kyle and Lucas of Port Clinton; maternal grandmother Frances Allen of Port Clinton and paternal grandparents Kearnie and Jean Patrick of Clyde and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Matt was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Donald Allen. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton where funeral services will be at 11 am Tuesday. The Rev Dan Duffy will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the US Navy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Melissa Nicole Patrick Fund, c/o The US Bank.
