Mary Lou Wehner, 86, of Oak Harbor, OH, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2015 at her daughter's home. She was born in Oak Harbor on January 6, 1929 to George & Leata (Arndt) Rauch. A 1946 graduate of Salem-Oak Harbor High School, Mary Lou worked at the Erie Army Depot for several years before marrying Robert A. Wehner on May 11, 1957, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2008. She was employed by Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools for 27 years beginning as a bus driver and finishing her career as a custodian at Carroll Elementary School. For many years she was an EMT for Carroll Township EMS. Mary Lou loved to cook. Often the table at night was so full with "extras" one would think a sign had been posted advertising a free meal. Mary Lou loved life, and laughter followed her everywhere. She enjoyed playing pinochle and belonged to several card clubs over the years. She is survived by daughters Sally (David Everett) Wehner, and Kelly (James) Phillips; son Dave Wehner; grandchildren, Samantha (Sheldon) Miller, James "Jake" Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Kenen Everett, and Jonathon Wehner; great granddaughter Corbin Elise Miller, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Myron Rauch; sisters, Ruth Overmyer, Geraldine Croll, and Nancy Anderson; and niece Mary Overmyer. Burial at Salem Township Union Cemetery and a Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ottawa County 4-H Endowment Fund, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, is handling arrangements for the family. Funeral Home: Crosser Funeral Home - Oak Harbor Chapel 301 N. Locust Street Oak Harbor, OH
