Mary Julia Kuhn

Mary Julia Kuhn, 92, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on November 8, 1922 in Gypsum, Ohio, the daughter of the late Paul and Suzanna (Demeter) Gregorsok. Her first husband, Julius Kelso and husband, James A. Kuhn both preceded her in death. Mary worked at US Gypsum, Standard Products, Erie Army Depot, and as a gyro repair specialist at the Air Force Station in Newark until her retirement. Most recently, she volunteered as an aide at Magruder Hospital. She was a member of the former St. Paul Slovak Lutheran Church in Port Clinton, where she served on the Altar Society and Junior Guild at the church. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge #223, Port Clinton; member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Port Clinton Moose, VFW, Eagles, Disabled American Veterans, and NARFE. Mary enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, crocheting, knitting, tending to her garden, and dancing. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters: Mary Helen (Terry) Schultz, Fort Wayne, Indiana and Paulette Ann Watt, Port Clinton; step son: Dave (Meredith) Kuhn, Sterling Heights, Michigan; step daughter: Nancy Grantham; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two infant children, brother: Andrew Paul Gregorsok and sister: Rose Peto. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 9am until funeral services at 11am at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, with Pastor Kurt Borows officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or to the Donor's choice.
