Mary E. Deitemyer, 89, of Elmore, OH died Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Avalon of Perrysburg, in Perrysburg, OH. She was born November 17, 1920 in Toledo, OH to the late Albert and Emily (Heiptman) Arft. She was a 1938 graduate of Libby High School, Toledo. She married Arthur E. Deitemyer on October 4, 1946 in St. Lucas Lutheran Church, Toledo; he preceded her in death November 11, 2000. Mrs. Deitemyer was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore where she participated in Bible Class and Ladies Aid. She loved to play pinochle. Survivors include her son James (Terrie) Deitemyer of Walbridge, OH; daughter Susan (Jerry) Geers of Elmore; brother Thomas (Lucille) Arft of Florida; sisters: Shirley (Don) Lusher of Moline, OH, Edith Ebert of Maumee, OH; grandchildren: Jamie, Sandy, and Andy Deitemyer, Greg (Tammy) Geers and Julie (Chris) Carper; great- grandchildren: Tyler and Tatum Geers. She was also preceded in death by brothers: Albert and Herbert Arft and grandson David Deitemyer. The family will receive friends from 2-9 P.M. Wednesday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 West State Route 51, Elmore. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Mary's family would like to thank her caregivers at Avalon as well as the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
