Marjorie A. "Marge" Twarek, 81, of Lakeside- Marblehead, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on June 3, 1933 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Bauer) Theisen. She married Clarence J. "Cal" Twarek on April 24, 1954 and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2010. Marge worked at New Departure in Sandusky as an office manager for seven years, until she started to raise her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead, and a former member of the Marblehead VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved sports, especially watching NASCAR and Jeff Gordon. She also enjoyed reading a good book, especially Victorian literature. She collected bells, loved to cook, and going on trips to the casino with her friends and family. She enjoyed watching TV, especially her favorite soap opera, "The Young and the Restless", as well as "Downton Abbey" on PBS, and watching movies on the Hallmark channel. Survivors include her son: Richard (Joanna) Twarek, Oak Harbor, Ohio; daughters: Jody (John) Law, Arlington, Virginia and Karen (Eric) Karim, Sandusky, Ohio; grandchildren: Davina (Jason) Marraccini, Brandon Twarek (Karen Holmes), Dustin Twarek, Bethany (Alex) Brikmanis, Mallory Law and Chris Lochotzki; great grandchildren: Zara Nicole Marraccini, Roman Marraccini, Derek Lochotzki, and Taylee Lochotzki. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Cal and a brother: Charles Theisen. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 9am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead, with Father Daniel Borgelt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or to the Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary.
