Marilyn J. Chapman

Marilyn J. Chapman, 75, of Port Clinton, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born Feb. 3, 1932 in Sandusky, OH the daughter of George and Marion (Maley) Butts. She married R. Jim Chapman and he preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 2006. Mrs. Chapman was a secretary for Rhode Law Office in Sandusky retiring in 1997. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. She was an avid reader and a fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She belonged to the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1610, Port Clinton and the Port Clinton Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxillary. Surviving are her son: Richard of Marion, OH; grandsons: William Chapman of Port Clinton, Richard Chapman-Chaffin of Arizona; daughter-in-law: Cristol El-Berri of Port Clinton; sister-in-law Ardith Degrisky of Oak Harbor and brother-in-law William Wolf of Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jim. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
