Marian L. Miller, 96, of Bowling Green, Ohio, and formerly of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Saturday at Bowling Green Manor. She was born in Salem Township, Ottawa County on May 6, 1914, a daughter of Harry F. & Alma M. (Bahnsen) Gahn. On May 23, 1936, she married Donald F. Miller and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1996. Marian was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Bowling Green, and a former member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor. She was a precinct worker in Oak Harbor for the Ottawa County Board of Elections for 15 years. She was also an office clerk for the Soil & Water Conservation District when the organization was still in its infancy. Marian later worked at Riverview Nursing Home, the Community Planning Council, and the Oak Harbor satellite office of the former Port Clinton Daily News. Marian is survived by her daughter, Maxine (Carl) Hagemeyer, Wayne, OH; son, Dale (Joyce) Miller, Oregon, OH; grandchildren, Kathy (Brian) Wilhelm, John (Karen) Hagemeyer, Cheryl (Tony) Vetter, Stephanie (Justin) Lenkey, Douglas (Courtney) Miller, Dr. Daniel (Dr. Holly Kline) Miller, and Kimberly (Dustin) Alt; great-grandchildren, Nichole, Jesicca, and McKenzie Wilhelm, Jack, Luke, and Zane Hagemeyer, Parker and Spencer Lenkey, and Alexander Miller; daughter-in-law, Dr. Marcia Miller-Hjelle, Congerville, IL; and sisters-in-law, Bertha Gahn, Green Springs, OH, and Kathleen Miller, Oak Harbor. Marian was preceded in death by her sons, Donald Miller, Jr. and Dr. Larry R. Miller; brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard Gahn, Myron (Dorothy) Gahn, and Kenneth (Ruth) Gahn; and brothers-in-law, Calvin Miller and Lloyd Miller. The family will receive friends from 3-8 P.M. Tuesday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church, Bowling Green, where friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Pastor Melanie Haack will officiate, and interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Larry R.
