Margaret R. Murray

Margaret R. Murray, 85 of Fremont, OH and formerly of Elmore, OH died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born July 22, 1929 in Detroit, MI to the late Joseph and Lucille (Arnold) Harris. She was a graduate of Harris- Elmore High School. On August 4, 1951 she married William H. Murray who preceded her in death June 24, 1997. She worked at Woolworth's in the Woodville Mall for 25 years and another 15 years at Kmart in Fremont. Margaret loved serving her customers at Woolworths and Kmart and treasured the friendships with her co-workers that she made and kept throughout the years from both stores. She loved her family very much and always getting together to make, what she called, "Memories for down the lane." She was always very concerned for others, especially the elderly. Survivors include her children Anthony Murray of Toledo, OH and Christine (Thomas) Hasselbach of Fremont; stepbrother LaVonne Weihrouch of Temperance, MI; sisters: Sister Virginia Harris of Fremont and Jane Bankey of Houston, TX; stepsister- in law Carol Weihrouch of Elmore; grandchildren: Billy, Amanda, Alex, and Angela Murray & Justin, Jeffrey, Jacob and Joel Hasselbach; 11 great- grandchildren and "true blue best friend" Priscilla Lehmann of Genoa. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather John Weihrouch, brother and sister- in- law William & Fran Harris; stepbrother Dale Weihrouch, stepsister- in- law Agnes Weihrouch and granddaughter Crystal Murray. Visitation will be 4-8pm Thursday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Friday, March 27, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, OH with Rev. Timothy Ferris Celebrant. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Our Lady of the Pines St. Bernadine Home Sisters of Mercy, Fremont.
