Lois A. Wagner of Catawba Island, Ohio and Naples, Florida, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025. A woman of unwavering strength and grace, she found solace and joy in nature, particularly around Lake Erie and the Florida Gulf Coast. She loved a walk in the woods, bird watching, and the simple beauty of flowers she planted and watched bloom (she was a member of the Nature Conservancy). Nature was a source of inspiration and comfort throughout her life, and she bequeathed this appreciation to her own family. She worked in her youth at Port Clinton Manufacturing, was a homemaker, and a life member of Eastern Star. Lois was an avid reader–she was known to read multiple books a week. Lois was also a world-traveler, with her beloved husband, Bill, and traveled to over ten different countries in her life. Lois was preceded in death by husbands Stephen Karshuk (d.1959) and Dr. V. W. (Bill) Wagner (her husband of almost 40 years). Lois was part of a large family, and was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Leemaster and siblings, Raymond, Clair, Robert, Warren, Dean, Jean and Harry. Lois is survived by her children, Rick, Jeff, Peter, and Andrea, as well as her grandchildren, Nathan, Tenesha, Kyle, Arianne, Rikki, Hayley, Joie, William, and Gwendolyn. She is also survived by her many beautiful great-grandchildren, Lilly, Avery, Lincoln, Paxton, Maya, and Benicio. Lois’ legacy of love and kindness will be forever etched in our hearts.
