Lois L. Burmeister

Lois L. Burmeister, 91, of Oak Harbor died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, OH. She was born April 26, 1919 in Carroll Township, OH to the late John and Laura (Meinke) Ohm. She was a 1938 graduate of Salem- Oak Harbor High School. On January 21, 1940 she married Leonard "Bud" Burmeister who preceded her in death February 6, 1978. Lois and her husband owned and operated B & B Oil Company in Oak Harbor for over 25 years until it was sold to Luckey Farmers Inc. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. Survivors include her daughter Beulah Appelhans and grandson Lenny Appelhans both of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Betty Lou Burmeister, brother Carl Ohm, and sister Myra Bodnar. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8pm with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11am at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Keith A. Hunsinger officiating. Burial will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made to either: St. John's Ev.
