Linda L. Kolinko

Linda L. Kolinko, 76, of Catawba Island passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on February 14, 1939 in Port Clinton, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Lucy (Hollingshead) Phillips. On October 26, 1957 she married Richard B. "Dick" Kolinko and he survives. Linda worked as a dispatcher for the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office and then as a case worker for the Ottawa County Job and Family Services, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Catawba Island; member of the Ottawa County Genealogy Society as well as a member of the Friends of the Cemetery. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, doing crafts, especially making homemade greeting cards. Survivors include her husband, Dick; son: Michael (Krista) Kolinko, Castalia, Ohio; daughters: Debra Sue Madison and Laura Zak, both of Catawba Island; granddaughter: Emily Edwards; and sisters: Martha Jean Phillips and Susan Baker, both of Port Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister: Clara Ryan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 4-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. On Wednesday, November 18, 2015 additional visitation will be held from 10am until Funeral Services at 11am at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2370 NE Catawba Road, Port Clinton, Ohio, with Reverend Kurt Borows officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church or to the Catawba Island Fire Department.
