Lawrence Williamson

Lawrence Williamson, 71 of Port Clinton, OH died unexpectedly Friday, March 18, 2011 at his home in Port Clinton. He was born June 2, 1939 in Martin County, KY to the late Benjamin and Virginia (Tiller) Williamson. In July of 1968 he married the former Sarah Mendoza and she survives. Lawrence was a retired welder working for Celotex in Port Clinton and Roger Au Company in Cleveland. He was a huge Detroit Tiger fan, and was involved in various pool leagues in Port Clinton. He also was very active in Port Clinton Baseball coaching both his sons over a 20 year period. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Sarah of Port Clinton, sons: Michael Williamson of Port Clinton, and Brian (Julie) Williamson of Gilbert, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Avery, R.C., & Carl "Jay" Williamson and sister Maxine Ross; half brother and a half sister. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-4pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where services will begin at 4pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
