Larry L. Noblitt, 63, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. Larry was a resident of Catawba Island for 62 years and moved to Danbury Township this past November. He was born on August 4, 1943 in Akron, OH, a son of the late Richard C. and Lilla (Dunnivant) Noblitt. Mr. Noblitt was a well known Port Clinton attorney with the law firm of Noblitt & Brown, LPA. His daughter, Attorney Bree Brown is associated with her father in the firm and will be continuing his practice. A graduate of Port Clinton High School, Mr. Noblitt received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio University and his law degree from The Ohio State University. He was a member of the Ottawa County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Foundation. Mr. Noblitt was also a pro bono attorney for Habitat for Humanity of Ottawa County. He also enjoyed playing tennis and golf, and was a member of Bay Winds Racquet Club. On June 25, 1966, he married the former Joan Morgan, and she survives. Also surviving are his son, Adam and fiancée Gordana Matovic; his daughter, Bree and husband William Brown; grandchildren, Lyman and Carter Brown; and his brother, Richard and his wife Mary Noblitt of Chester, VA., and his yellow lab, Rocky. Mr. Noblitt’s body has been donated to the University of Toledo Medical College. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams Street, Port Clinton with the Rev. Bruce Batchelor-Glader officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County, Lakeside Fire & E.M.S. or Catawba Island Volunteer Fire Department.
