Kathryn I. Arndt

Kathryn I. Arndt, 101 of Elmore, OH died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Genoa Care Center, Genoa, OH. She was born April 2, 1915 in Harris Township, OH to the late Barcilla and Christina (Weis) Willey. On February 25, 1939 she married Clifford Arndt who preceded her in death March 15, 1984. Ms. Arndt was a homemaker and retired from the Woodmore Schools as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church, Elmore. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, traveling, flower gardening, feeding the birds and going out to eat. She also enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter Sue Longenecker of Elmore, OH; daughter- in- law Terry Arndt of Woodville, OH; grandchildren: Pam Miller, Jennifer (Eric Lynd) Arndt, Brooke (Tony Cowell) Arndt, and Betsy (Spencer) York; great- grandchildren: Rachel, Alexis, Jessica, Andrew, Tyler, Brenden, Madyson, and Mason. She was also preceded in death by son Richard Arndt, son- in- law Richard Longenecker, brothers Walter Willey and Lawrence "Pete" Willey; and sister Mabel Sorg. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore- Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. State Route 51, Elmore, OH. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Promedica Hospice, Fremont. The family would like to thank the staff at Genoa Care Center and the Promedica Hospice for the love and care given to Kathryn during her time with them.
