Kathleen Bahs

Kathleen "Connie" Bahs, 90 of Oak Harbor died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born September 9, 1920 in Fremont, OH to the late Grant and Elizabeth Swartz. On April 24, 1950 she married Walter "Jim" Bahs who preceded her in death July 4, 2004. Connie was a self-employed beautician for over 40 years serving the Fremont and Oak Harbor Area. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor Red Hats, and Epsilon Eta Sorority. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and Western and Eastern Europe. She also volunteered her time at the Ottawa County Board of Elections for many years. Survivors include her sons John (Ginger) Bahs and Scott (Jacqueline) Bahs both of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: April (David) Kodak, Alex and Cassandra Bahs; great- grandchild Dillon Kodak and special friend and caregiver Karen Opp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 10:30am at St. Boniface Catholic Church with the family to recieve friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserfuneralhome.com.
