Kathleen A. Hesselbart

Kathleen A. Hesselbart, 67, of Oak Harbor, OH, died Tuesday at her home. She was born on July 9, 1947, the daughter of Claud & Alberta (Schell) Rose. She was a graduate of Salem-Oak Harbor High School, and the Riverside Hospital School of Nursing, Toledo. Kathy was a nurse at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, where she was recently honored for 42 years of service. She also was a charter member of Mid-County Emergency Medical Service, Oak Harbor, where she served as Chief for several years. A Paramedic, Kathy was also an EMT and CPR instructor and taught many area EMTs. She was also well known for her care and compassion to animals, especially her cats. On December 15, 1989, she married Kevin Hesselbart, and he survives. Also surviving are her sons, Donald (Lisa) Hunter, Toledo, and Daniel (Ann) Hunter, Garden Valley, Idaho; grandchildren, December & Atlas Anderson and Patrick, Parker, and Sydney Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kenneth Rose. Friends are invited to call from 4-8 P.M. Saturday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday. Rev. Judith Hesselbart will officiate.
