Karl W. Fahey, 63, of Catawba Island, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at his residence. He was born on January 27, 1944, in Olympia, Washington, the son of Walter George and Ednah (Paull) Fahey. He was employed at Fox Haven Marina on Catawba Island. He was a member of the Catawba Island Fire Department, Port Clinton Moose Lodge #1610, and the Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718. He enjoyed boating, being outdoors and out on the lake, listening to country oldies music, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife: Rebecca “Becky” (Taylor) whom he married on September 9, 1996; son, David Fahey, Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Melisa Fahey, Port Clinton; son, Steve (Tresa) Wilkins, Tiffin, OH; his son from a previous marriage: Karl Robert Fahey, Patalooma, CA; his mother, Ednah Fahey, Olmsted Falls, OH; seven grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Muzlia, Cleveland, OH; Irene Fahey, Olmstead Falls, OH; Deborah (James) Humphrey, Olmstead Twp, OH; Susan (Danny) Morgan, Texas; and six nieces and nephews, former wife, Darlene (Mullens), Port Clinton. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will receive friends from 9-11 A.M. Saturday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday with the Rev. Kurt Borows, Jr. officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to the Catawba Island Fire Department.
