Julia Ann Stark

Julia Ann Stark, 89, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born on July 3, 1925 in Marblehead, the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Fitzthum) Sedlak. On October 27, 1945 she married Harold Joseph Stark and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1983. For a short time, Julia worked as a nurses aide at Memorial Hospital in Sandusky, and then she devoted her time to raising her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, reading, watching TV, and collecting bells. She always had a smile on her face which was brought on by spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children: Linda (John) Fontana, Marblehead; John (Brenda) Stark, Lynchburg, Virginia; Sandy (Paul) Benson, Lancaster, Ohio; Peggy (Woody) Mangus, Lynchburg, Virginia; and Patty (Mike) Baier, Montgomery, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister: Ethel Gresh, Marblehead; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister: Mabel Pierce; and brothers: John Sedlak and Clarence Sedlak. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead. On Monday, January 19, 2015, additional visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead, from 10am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Father Daniel Borgelt officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
