Joseph H. Busby

Joseph H. Busby, "Joe B." to so many friends went to his final resting place in heaven on April 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family and his wonderful caretakers Nancy and Kathy. He was born June 18, 1935 in Walker County Alabama to Atlee and Annie Busby. He moved to Ohio in 1954 and worked for Matthews Boat Co. and Celotex Corporation. He loved to fish, boat, travel and camp with his family. He was a member of Oliver H. Perry Chapter 341 of the Masonic lodge, Zenobia Shrine Mariners and Road Runners. He was also a 23 plus year friend of Bill W. While with the "Road Runners" he transported burned and disabled children over 250, 000 miles to hospitals in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Cincinnati showing his great love to help others. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years Marjorie; sister: Joan Carter; daughter: Jo Ellen; sons: Karl (Monica) Busby and Paul (Edie) Busby; grandchildren: Brad (Briana) Busby, Stephen, Karlie, Kacie and Olivia; great grandchild Brayden who has a sibling on the way. Funeral service will be conducted 10:30 am Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton where visitation will be held Friday from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm. Rev. Kurt Borows will be officiating. Private burial services will be held at Catawba Island Cemetery at a later date. Masonic Lodge memorial services will be conducted Friday at 7:30 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Catawba Island Fire and Rescue, 4730 E.
