John B. Hurst

John B. Hurst, 62 formerly of Oak Harbor, OH died Monday, March 16, 2015 at home in Curtice, OH. He was born May 17, 1952 in Williston, OH to the late William C. and Laura (Dugan) Hurst. John spent most of his working life as a marine mechanic. Later in his working life he drove truck for A & J Bait and Tackle in Port Clinton, OH. He enjoyed playing in pool league in Oak Harbor. Survivors include his children: Jennifer (Greg) Fillmore of Oak Harbor, Tanya Hurst of Curtice, April Hurst of Oak Harbor, John N. "Bud" Hurst of Oak Harbor, and Eric Hurst of Fremont, OH; brother Don (Linda) Hurst of Oak Harbor; sisters: Inez Hicks of Oak Harbor, Millie Stone of Clay Center, OH, Wanda (Pat) May of Oak Harbor, and Alma (Norman) Galliher of Rocky Ridge, OH; 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Bill, Phillip, James Ivan Hurst and infant twins; sisters: Dona "Louise" Wilburn and Julia Clere. Visitation will be 4-8pm Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at the conclusion of visitation at 8pm Thursday evening at the Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions can be made in care of Rachel Menchaca for the Kyan Menchaca Fund.
