Joan L. Geisman

Joan L. Geisman, 83, of Marblehead, OH, died Monday, February 26, 2007 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born April 14, 1923 in Marblehead, a daughter of Fred and Verna (Burns) Sauvey. Joan was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Post 7572 of Marblehead. Surviving is her husband James C. Geisman, whom she married on October 15, 1949; son, J.C. (Carolyn) Geisman, Sandusky; daughter, Jo Ellen (Larry) Acocksm Defiance, OH; 3 grandchildren and a sister, Mary Jo Monak, Port Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack and Lawrence Sauvey, and sisters Wilma Sauvey, Ethel Gorecki, Vivian Sauvey and Marcella Piechocki. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead where prayer services will be held at 6 P.M.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M.Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
