Jessie Dick

Jessie Dick, 86, a longtime resident of Catawba Island, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008 following a lingering illness in Avon Park, Florida. Jessie is survived by her husband, Luther; daughter, Betty Jean Hall of Columbus, Ohio, and son, David Dick of Pilot Point, Texas. She has three grandchildren, Kathy Riesner of Columbus, Ohio; Lesa Plett of Olathe, Kansas, and Julie Cordes of Stillwell, Kansas. Mrs. Dick was born in Welsh, West Virginia, a daughter of Samuel David Lefler & Jessie Violet (Montgomery) Lefler. Following her parents death, she grew up in the family of Homer & Ada Lefler, with two brothers and five sisters, in Science Hill, Kentucky. Jessie and Luther were married in 1939 and shortly there after, moved to Ohio. She was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, and one granddaughter, Lori Jean of Columbus. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Thursday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday. Rev.
