Jean Grindstaff

Jean Grindstaff, 62, of Port Clinton, OH, died Saturday, June 2, 2007 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born January 28, 1945 in Port Clinton, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Helen Mae (Rakosky) French. She married William R. Grindstaff on November 11, 1967 and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1999. Mrs. Grindstaff was the manager of Catawba Clean Scene and a member of Women of the Moose, Lodge #1610, Port Clinton. She loved photography, video production and everyone she came in contact with. Surviving is her son, William Troy Grindstaff, Port Clinton; step-son, Charles Avery Grindstaff, Port Clinton; her twin sister, Jane Thompson of Sandusky, younger twin sisters, Sharon Frost and Shirley Dress, both of Sandusky; the love of her life, her granddaughter, Autumn Paige Grindstaff; and her companion, Bill Horn. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. Tuesday. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
