James M. Dziak, 78, of Marblehead, OH died Thursday, October 18, 2007 at The Cleveland Clinic. He was born April 18, 1929 in Lakeside, OH the son of the late Michael & Anna (Ontko) Dziak. James was an inspector for New Departure in Sandusky, OH. He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Marblehead, where he previously served on church council. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7572, Marblehead. Mr. Dziak was also a volunteer dispatcher for the Lakeside Fire Department. He is survived by his brother, Donald (Sheila) Dziak of Bend, OR; sister, Janet Slobodzian of Port Clinton; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert. The family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. Tuesday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside—Marblehead, OH. A Panachida service will be held at 6:30pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Divine Liturgy will be conducted at 10 A.M. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery with VFW Post 7572 presenting military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeside Fire Department or St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church.
