James Edward Clem, "JC", 59, of Oak Harbor died suddenly at his home in Carroll Township Wednesday, July 22, 2009. He was born January 30, 1950 in Oberlin, OH to James B. and JoRetta (Butcher) Clem. JC retired from the Ohio Turnpike following 30 years of service. He worked in Roadway Maintenance retiring as a Section Forman. Earlier in his life he owned and operated Clem's Tree Service in Wellington, OH and was currently First Mate on Parker Guide Service Charter Boat, Oak Harbor. Jimmy loved to fish and go deer hunting. Survivors include his mother JoRetta Clem of Wellington; brothers: Mike (Sarah) Clem of Wellington and John (Carmelia) Clem of Austin, TX; sisters: Barbara (Richard) Shuler of Avon, OH, Connie (Edward) Sutphin of Wellington, and Vickie Beedy of Oak Harbor; nieces and nephews and his dog Loner. He was preceded in death by his father James B. Services will be Private and handled by the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Memorial Contributions are to the Ottawa County Humane Society.
