Jacquie Witker Daughenbaugh, 60, of Dublin, Ohio, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, in her home. She was born in Toledo to Helen Snyder Witker and the now deceased Dr. Jack Witker of Lakeside. Jacquie married Ralph 'Doc' Daughenbaugh on Dec. 19, 1970. A 1965 graduate of Lakeside High School, she received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Bowling Green State University in 1969. Jacquie did graduate studies at The Ohio State University and received her master's degree from Nova Southeastern University. She taught second grade at Deer Run Elementary for 20 years and then taught at Eli Pinney Elementary School for five years. Jacquie received the Golden Shamrock Award for outstanding teacher for the city of Dublin in 1993. She also taught second grade at Catawba Elementary from 1969 to December 1970. Jacquie was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, the Alumnae Association of Columbus, Ohio, member of the Ohio Education Association, National Education Association, Dublin Education Foundation and she was very active with the Emerald Ball Committee where she served many years. She was also a member of P.E.O., Chapter EU; Muirfield Country Club; Marblehead VFW, Women's Chapter; CEO of the Wednesday Nite Guys and Dolls; and Chi Omega Bridge Club. Jacquie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Doc Daughenbaugh; children, Kelly Yocum and Brett Daughenbaugh of Dublin; two granddaughters, Ashley and Lexus Yocum; her mother. Helen Snyder Witker of Lakeside; siblings, Cheryl (John) Kocher of Port Clinton, Wendy (Dave) Stahanczyk of New Albany, Ohio, and David (Dana) Witker of Naples, Fla.; and by many nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, in St. Brigid of Kildare Church, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin, with The Rev. Msgr. Joseph M. Hendricks, officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Cemetery, Marblehead. Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, is handling arrangements for the family.
